The Focus Collective is a Metro Detroit-based pre-professional training program for the dancer who wants to work at the highest level — whether that means chasing a career on stage or simply discovering what they’re capable of when trained like a professional. We believe serious training builds more than technique: it builds discipline, work ethic, and self-possession that carries far beyond the studio. Every dancer’s path is curated individually — some are training for Broadway, Radio City, or the concert and commercial dance world, others are still deciding what’s next — but all of them are held to the same standard of intention, artistry, and craft.

Training by someone who's lived it
I didn’t set out to become a Radio City Rockette. I trained for years with my sights set on a very different stage — but the versatility I built along the way opened doors I never expected, including a career that spanned from stage to screen, and years performing in one of the most iconic shows in the world.
That experience taught me something I carry into every class I teach: real growth doesn’t come from filling every hour of a schedule — it comes from training with intention, focusing on what truly matters, and making room for what matters most. That’s why The Focus Collective isn’t built around one single path, or around doing the most. It’s built to prepare your dancer with purpose, for whichever path finds them.
